FINALE CLASSIC EST - ENDURO
The Ex Nato Base (1019m asl.) is just the tip of the iceberg of a whole, complicated net of undergound tunnels. It was the actual base on the 509th Battalion USA from 1962 to 1992. Since it doesn't have that purpose anymore, it is now the starting point of some of the most thrilling enduro and freeride trails in the Finale's area.
40 minutes shuttle until Nato Base. We take the trail that leads to Colle Cravarezza, climb up a few tens of meters towards the Crestino path. Easy trail, nice flow, fast berms with some jumps, all immersed in a wonderful beech forest.
After a pleasant transfer on a gravel road we reach the middle section of the Supergroppo, this part is technical with a rock garden S3 in the final part.
Short transfer on a fire road to the Rocche Bianche, from here we will go into the path of the EWS 2017 Rocche Gianche that we will ride up to Vezzi san Filippo, a very fun trail with a series of tight bends that will test your technical skills!
We pedal about 5km on a flat asphalt road with no cars towards Magnone. 15 minutes of climb up to the panoramic point of the bric dei Monti (410m asl.) with immense panorama on the "golfo dell' Isola" of Bergeggi.
After a short pause, we take the Andrassa path, the first part gravel and then a quick mix of curves and straights with little steepness on a compact ground. We leave the path to manage the last climb of the morning and reach the restaurant where we can taste the typical Ligurian dishes.
We are now on the Manie plateau where the famous "24 hours of Finale" race is held every year.
After lunch we will ride a part of this circuit up to take one of the most panoramic trails in the world, the DH Donne that will take us to the heart of the wonderful Varigotti town where we will find a shuttle for the afternoon lift up to the NATO Base.
In the afternoon only downhill, by choice (based on energy left, customer requests and trail conditions) one of the flow trails from the NATO base.

ENG - Here is the highest trail in Finale: the perfect combination between Crestino and Supergroppo trail. Alpine-like landscape before hitting some trails in the woods or technical sections above the sea. While going down towards the beaches we access a stunning trail among prehistoric caves and creeks. A unique environment only fully enjoyable on two wheels!
