Week Itinerary:
Saturday: Arrival in Finale
Relax as you travel to Finale. If you arrive by late afternoon, we'll briefly meet. Otherwise, no worries! Rest up; we'll officially start Sunday morning.
This night's accommodation is not included in the package. We suggest you book at the Hotel Internazionale, our partner hotel, just 50 meters away!
Sunday: "Warm up Finale Flow" | Finale Ligure
Approximately 35 km | 400m ascent | 2500m descent
Meet at 8:30 am at MtbItaly's Headquarters in via Nicolò Saccone 19, Finale Ligure. (arrive without luggage; today, we ride around Finale)
Registration at the desk, introduction of guides and itinerary, Bike Check at our workshop, and departure around 9.00 am.
The first day is a warm-up on Finale's flowy trails to familiarize yourself with the terrain, get to know the group and your guide. We'll offer technical advice if needed, and if any mechanical issues arise, we're in Finale, and we'll find a solution.
Overnight at Hotel Internazionale in Finale Ligure. (breakfast included, dinner not included)
Monday: "From Sea to Mountains" | Finale Ligure - Val Pennavaire
Approximately 39 km | 740m ascent | 1670m descent
Meet at 8:30 am at MtbItaly's Headquarters in via Nicolò Saccone 19, Finale Ligure. (arrive with luggage, which will be transported to the next accommodation).
Shuttle lift of about 30 minutes to the Melogno pass. The second day features a succession of 5/6 super-flowy natural single trails on undergrowth soil in the higher part and solid rock towards the valley floor. Beautiful trails through beech forests, pine woods, and medieval villages!
Overnight and dinner at a B&B (breakfast included, dinner not included)
Tuesday: "Beyond Borders" | Val Pennavaire - Triora
Approximately 33 km | 830m ascent | 2160m descent
Departure at 9:30 am. Shuttle of about 30 minutes to the Prale pass.
The third day is a journey, and besides being the toughest, it's the most spectacular.
In the morning, we'll cross Val Nava and then tackle the highest mountain in the Ligurian Alps, Saccarello, at 2200m above sea level, descending into the Argentina valley on one of the most spectacular trails in the area.
We expect to arrive in Triora in the late afternoon, a beautiful medieval village still known as the "Witches' Village" for the tragic events in the second half of the 1500s.
Overnight in a B&B in Triora for 2 nights (breakfast included, dinner not included)
Wednesday: "Take it Easy" | Triora
After three days of intense riding, it's time to rest a bit and recharge to 100%.
Here are some options for the day:
- Half-day shuttle on super-natural Molini trails.
- In summer, you can swim in the natural pools of the Argentina stream.
- Visit the Witchcraft Museum: located in the historic center, the museum exhibits historical artifacts and documents related to Triora's history as a center of witchcraft.
- Tasting of local products: Triora is known for its culinary tradition, especially its chestnut bread. Visitors can enjoy this specialty and other traditional dishes at the village's restaurants.
- Possibility of washing and drying technical clothing in Triora (approximately €25 per 1 wash): This indicates that there is a facility in Triora where participants can wash and dry their technical clothing for a fee of approximately €25 per wash.
Overnight in a B&B in Triora (breakfast included, dinner not included)
Thursday: "From the Alps to Medieval Villages" | Triora - Pigna
Approximately 28 km | 640m ascent | 2000m descent
Departure at 9:30 am. Shuttle of about 30 minutes to the Sanson pass.
On the fifth day, we return above 2000m to the Maritime Alps. We ride in the highlands under Mount Saccarello, visiting the Marta plains (old fortifications from 1938), enjoying a breathtaking view of Lake Tenarda and descending to the Allavena refuge. We then descend further on the "Maggiore" trail, leading us to the next medieval village of Pigna.
Overnight in a B&B in Pigna (breakfast included, dinner not included).
Friday: "From the Village to the Sea" | Pigna - Ventimiglia
Approximately 33 km | 450m ascent | 1900m descent
Departure at 9:30 am.
The connection between Pigna and Perinaldo is impressive. Between the two medieval villages, we find Mount Ceppo, 1600m high, from which an endless and panoramic trail begins. Beech forests now transform into Mediterranean scrub, and the undergrowth terrain becomes more challenging with flat rocks testing our technical skills. From Perinaldo, we head south, passing through dirt roads and concluding the day with a coastal trail overlooking the sea on Ventimiglia, where a shuttle will be waiting to take us back to Finale to spend the last evening of this unforgettable adventure together.
Overnight at Hotel Internazionale in Finale Ligure (breakfast included, dinner not included).
Saturday: "Chillout Finale" | Finale Ligure
We've reached the last and seventh day of this unique and unforgettable experience. If we survived last night, today, we can end this fantastic adventure in Flow Chillout style on the compressions and edges of the Roller Coaster or Engineer trail.
Return expected by lunch. It's time for the sad goodbyes and see you on the next adventure together!
